Museo Inka (Inca Museum), also known as the Archaeological Museum of Cusco, contains pieces that show the history of Peru since pre-Inca civilizations and Inca culture until the time of the Spanish conquest.
The main attraction of this archaeological museum is its collection of mummies, which is the best in the Cusco and is an excellent introduction to pre-Columbian Andean culture, including the rich cultures that flourished before the Incas.
The museum includes exhibits of pottery, textiles, pottery, jewelry, architectural models, and an interesting collection (reputed to be the largest in the world), Inca vessels (Qeros) wood carvings, many meticulously painted.
The patio has an exhibition of traditional textiles of the region.

REGIONAL HISTORY MUSEUM
CASA GARCILASO
Property that belonged to the illustrious chronicler Inca Garcilaso de la Vega Chimpu Ocllo, born April 12, 1539, son of Captain Garcilaso de la Vega y Vargas and Princess Isabel Chimpu Ñusta Ocllo, author of two important works, "The Royal Commentaries and "Florida of the Inca. The mansion was built on Inca walls, a singular example of colonial architecture and Renaissance architecture.
The museum has 14 exhibition halls, with elements from the Pleistocene period, Preceramic and Inca. Are visible signs of pre-Inca elements belonging to the horizons Chanapata, Killque, Marcavalle Incas with samples of ceramics, metal objects, blankets and Colonial with a grand show of paintings from the Cusquenian School since the beginning of the sixteenth century until the eighteenth century such us the first works of Flemish art in Cusco and artefacts belonging to Diego Quispe Tito.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF

It occupies the opposite square of Santo Domingo church. Prehispanic objects are exhibited from different areas of Cusco. It is a small museum that contains three rooms; s pre-Inca, Inca and colonial, mostly from the excavations made in the Koricancha (in Quechua Qurikancha "golden courtyard") during the period 1992-1995.

CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM
MUNICIPALITY OF CUSCO
The Contemporary Art Museum of Cusco City, the unique state institution in its specialization in Peru, founded in 1995 from its sponsorship of the Mayor and the donation of 100 works by local artists for the collector Dr. Luis Rivera Dávalos.
It currently has more than 280 works owned by famous local artists, national and foreign. His early work for the oil of Remigia Mendoza: "Vilcanota River" (1897).
It has three showrooms in the city hall, one in the Chapel of San Bernardo and Environment Exhibition of handicrafts in the main courtyard of City Hall.

SANTA CATALINA MUSEUM
Founded by Mrs. Lucia de Padilla and Don Jeronimo Pacheco in 1605, in the solar Acclla Wasi or "House of the Virgins of the Sun or Chosen wimen." Its architecture corresponds to the last stages of the Renaissance, with a presence that Roman-style arches. It has a chapter house with wall paintings belonging to the painter Tadeo Escalante, there are also works in jewelry, textiles, sculptures, baroque altarpieces, paintings from the collection of Juan Espinoza de los Monteros, paintings of the Virgin of the Assumption and the Glorification of the Virgin authored by Lorenzo Sanchez, the number of Santa Rosa de Lima and the Board of the Madonnas.
The museum displays a rich and valuable collection of artwork consists of paintings, religious objects, rugs, wood carvings, wall painting from the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth century.

RELIGIOUS ARCHBISHOP
MUSEUM OF CUSCO
The mansion housing the Religious Art Museum was built over the palace of Inca Roca, and it is located one block from the Main square. During the colony belonged to the Marquis of San Juan de Buenavista. The museum was founded in 1969 by Jose Orihuela Yábar.
Exhibition: Collection of pictures of religious art. Its collections consist primarily of religious artifacts on display in the rooms of the house. It has one of the finest examples of Cusquenian School. It contains important works of John Zapata and other masters Andean painting. Colonial Furniture. Colonial Chapels in their different styles. LA MERCED MUSEUM
Located at only half block from the Plaza de Armas, this religious museum works on the first floor of the main cloister. The valuable collection of paintings from the Cuzco School, which decorates its walls, representing the saints related to the order of Mercy and the redemption of Christians held captive by the Moors. Some of these works are attributed to Cusquenian teachers Basilio Santa Cruz and Ignacio Chacon. Emphasizes the series on the life of San Pedro Nolasco.
Facing the courtyard, in a small room you can see, properly protected, the famous Custody of Mercy. This is one of the best jewels of colonial Cusco. Among its decorations stands an immense irregular pearl known as Mermaid. In this room you can see pieces of silver, liturgical robes embroidered in gold and silver and ivory sculpture of Christ. But most important are two paintings by Bernardo Bitti said: "The Immaculate Conception" and the "Coronation of the Virgin".
